Glitz, glam and the Miss South African crown, are the very components that are going to be marked as the highlights of my Sunday evening. 12 alluring ladies will compete for the title of Miss South Africa and the chance to represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant.
This year, the Miss Universe competition will be held in the Philippines, a complete change of environment as opposed to the preliminary pageant in Las Vegas. Last year, Miss South Africa 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, won the title of Miss Universe in Las Vegas and we are all in anticipation of what will happen this year.
The winner of Miss S.A is to take home a R3 million prize package and of course the much sought after crown. The package will include R1 million in cash as well as the use of a fully furnished and serviced apartment for the year of reign, a Nissan Qashqai worth R445 500 and the use of designer garments for her red carpet looks.
The competition will be judged by the likes of Anele Mdoda - Media Personality , Khaya Dlanga – Author and Blogger, Khanyi Dhlomo – Media Entrepreneur , Janez Vermeiren – Media Personality, Michelle van Breda – Editor, Siba Mtongana – Celebrity Chef and Rolene Strauss – Model.
So what are you waiting for? Set a date for; Sunday, 27 May at 17:00 Central African Time. The Miss South Africa pageant will be screened on M-Net (DStv 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
