Lusaka’s Elite Celebrate the Launch of Budweiser; The King of Beers in Zambia

A ceremonious event was held on 2 August 2018 in Lusaka to launch the iconic American beer, Budweiser. The beer globally known as “The King of Beers” was introduced to a crowd of curious A-list guests after a teaser campaign on social media sparked conversation on the identity of who was to be revealed as the newest royal in town.

Hip-Hop sensation, Slapdee was instrumental in the unveiling of Budweiser as he was confirmed as the Brand Ambassador for the beer which was the official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2018 recently hosted in Russia. “I know that this is a beer that the people of Zambia will enjoy. From one King to another, this is the beginning of a great partnership.” stated Slapdee.

Speaking at the launch of the premium beverage, Zambian Breweries Country Director Jose Moran said he was excited by the Zambian Breweries portfolio continuing to grow, giving beer lovers across Zambia a wide variety of world-class beverages to choose from. “As Zambian Breweries, we want to offer our consumers quality and prestigious global brands which will expand our current portfolio while also indulging the passion of beer connoisseurs in the country,” said Mr Moran.
Plans are underway for a full launch of Budweiser at an event planned for August 25 in Lusaka. “Zambia Breweries products are all about bringing people together thus we decided to introduce our latest product to the people by going out to directly engage with our customers and share our mutual love for world class beer through events” said Mr Moran.
